Summary: Chiquita Tate, 34, was a trailblazing criminal defense attorney. Even her adversaries in the court room could do nothing but praise her. Unfortunately, Chiquita’s personal life was a stark contrast from her reality. She constantly contemplated leaving her husband, who had a documented abusive streak. On February 19, 2009, Chiquita told her sister that she was done with her husband. That night, Chiquita, was murdered. Her husband, Greg Harris, was sentenced to 40 years under the manslaughter statute.
